When did you start DJing? | July 1986 |
Bio - tell us about yourself
| . |
How did you get into DJing? | Got hooked onto DJ'ing after listening to Shep Pettibone's Mastermixes on NYC's Kiss-FM back in the early '80s. |
What do you love most about DJing? | The immense positive energy that the music I play generates, and that's why I don't play any dark genres such as trance or techno. |
What is your most memorable DJing experience? | The Lightship Frying Pan, December 2000. The dance floor is the hull of this old ship, and the stage was the DJ area. The ship was packed to capacity, including the rafters, and the energy was palpable. House music will never die! |
What are you future goals as a DJ? | I no longer do residencies because of the demands on my time, but I guest DJ and throw my own parties. |
What do you do when you are not DJing? | Finance & political activism. |
