The US audience got a sneak preview of Wonder Girls in 2008 when the entertainment blogger Perez Hilton featured not one, but two of their hit music videos on his blog site. Since then, Wonder Girls have been named by People Magazine as one of the "leading Asian pop stars to cross over to the states.” They were also featured on Virgin Media as one of the “Top 8 Girls Groups to Watch in the World,” among such groups as Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud and Danity Kane.
In March 2009, Wonder Girls began their first ever World Tour, which incorporated 3 US cities, including New York and Los Angeles. The Wonder Girls will continue to rock the US this summer, with thirteen performances from coast to coast on the Jonas Brothers World Tour.
In a New York of the future violence and drugs are all but erased from memory. In their stead, illegal dance contests take place in the underground world of Boogie Town. Marco and Jay leaders of rival dancing gangs acquire superpowers and take the contests to new levels. Marco falls in love with Jay's sister Natalie and the two become like Romeo and Juliet, a pair of star-crossed lovers.
