Bio - tell us about yourself
| Born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, G-String was young and aspiring when she began recording cassette tapes of songs on the radio and matching the beats. At the young age of fourteen, she was fascinated with mixing music and decided to dedicate her time and cash to learning the skill. By the time G-String turned 18 she had saved enough to buy some turntables and began practicing daily. Before long her skills grew and she started to spin house parties, weddings and school functions. Only one year later, she was hired at a club called "The Scene" in Chicago. The rough edges of her skills were fading and her smooth moves spinning landed her a job at "The Royal," another club in Chicago. She also was a DJ for Chix Mix Productions at Circuit Night Club, and at Sound Bar. DJ G-String was a resident at The New Deja Vu and Maggies (3208 N. Pulaski). She is now a resident at Clarke's after Dark (928 Belmont). She recently did a guest spot at Sound Bar on Friday Night. She is now 22 and currently working on her own dance music. G-String spins Euro, Progressive, Trance, Techno, Jungle, House, Old School, Electronic, and Top 40. She has put a lot of hard work into her talent, and her skills have grown at the same time she has. She has a sexy style independent of other DJ's, and her energy bounces right out of the speakers. |
