Bio - tell us about yourself
| Born and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and being exposed to family and friends in the DJ'ing industry, DJ E.M.'s talent and ear for music developed speedily as an adolescent. He became aware of his gift and similar to every DJ in this industry, his career started as being the "Official Block Party DJ of the Neighborhood". As the fire hydrant was turned on and the barbecue's roasted, the people on the block danced until their feet were numb by means of the incredible sounds provided by the DJ. Word of mouth spread quickly and simultaneously, party-bookings as well. During this period, DJ E.M. supplied the entertainment for numerous Sweet 16's, bridal showers, weddings, community gatherings, so forth and so on. Soon enough, his club venue debut was at The Hot Club, NYC in 1996. From there, his exclusive CD, "Reggae Meltdown", caught the attention of many of his peers, and could also be heard on just about any Walkman in the tri-state area. The career of DJ E.M. simply embellishes from that point on.
As his skills developed, the challenge to expand the variety of sounds he presented became clear. At this point, DJ E.M. began mixing the best of hip-hop, R&B, house, and reggae, along with salsa, merengue, and bachata. With over 1500 records, and a vast assortment of Latin music on compact disc, DJ E.M. continues to overwhelm the club/party scene in the New York Tri-State area amid the entire east-coast. The main thing that separates E.M. from the rest, besides his extraordinary DJ skills, is his determination to have it all. Besides being one of the hottest DJ |
