| Proud member of Sinthesis Entertainment crew. Been spinnin for about 9-10 yrs and luv the trance! Especially the harder style.Was the resident DJ at Entrance (now Ministry) for over 1 yr. Occasionally do gigs up there.
On other fronts, I am also a new monthly resident DJ over at Shampoo nightclub in Philly and I have had some stints at Studio 6/ Club TRu in Atlantic City. Startin up a new residency at Emerald City this month as well...
I absolutely love to meet new friendly people and to interact with other DJs and promoters as long as they are friendly and courteous. I cant stand working with pretentious, ego head DJs. Unfortunately, many of you DJs got attitude problems and that is what holds you back...
Favorite drink is def Captain and Coke.
Turn offs - Regular Girls who act like Import Models, bad Djs with Big attitudes, bad promoters like Johhny (yeah you know who you are), and anyone who picks on other people who are less fortunate in any way....

| How did you get into DJing? | I also play Synths in a Phila based Electronic Trance n House band so that is where my influences come from. Back in the day I was really really into Industrial music (still am) and I loved the heavy, ard, pounding nature of it. Very aggressive. That just progressed into my love for Trance, HardHouse and some progressive house. Im very rythmic so this is a perfect thing for me to do. |
| What do you love most about DJing? | I love the the feeling I get when Im in my own personal little sound hole. Its kinda like a tunnel vision, but is really encompasses sound, not vision. At this moment in time, I can mix anything together. My sound becomes perfect, crystal clear and it all just falls together. It is a secluded experience. Nothing is cooler than hearing the sound you create as you bring something into mix and only you can hear it in your headphones. The whole club has no clue what is going on. Yeah, there is some reward at the end of the tunnel in that the crowd will hopefully respond to the sound you sculpt. But honestly, for a brief moment, it is not about you..... its all about me. Selfish? Yup. Sure, I dig making other people have fun, no doubt. But sometimes being able to have this kinda fun is simply my getaway from all the annoyances of life and the annoyances of people etc...

What is your most memorable DJing
experience? | My most memorable experience in music performace was not as a DJ, but as a memeber of ARoomWithAView. RWV is a Philly based electronic Trance n House band. Once year we actually played live to what looked like 1000 hearing impaired students from Galudet University in Washington DC. It was the most fun experience I have ever had on stage. They went nuts for us and gave us all of their energy for an hour and a half. I guess another great experience was playing a packed Trocodero Theater back in 1999. I think my most memorable DJ memories are yet to come.... |
