| Cypriot DJ Bon Finix is currently based in Prague, the Czech Republic. Bon kicked off as a radio DJ at the age of 16 and in 2000 he began spinning vinyl. His style ranges from Tribal House to Wet & Hard, allowing him to adjust his sets depending on venue size and crowd response. His enthusiasm, determination and ability to be flexible have allowed him to play in respectful venues such as Memphis (#1 club in Cyprus), where he held a residency during summer '03, and Prague's legendary club Roxy, where he recently played alongside the Godfather of UK House Jazzy M. Bon Finix's blend of warm Mediterranean and sexy East European sounds has grabbed peoples' attention, suggesting a promising future for this fresh young talent. |
| How did you get into DJing? | I kicked off as a radio DJ at the age of 16 and presented peak time shows on three various Cypriot radio stations. When I moved to the Czech Republic in 1999 I witnessed the exploding Czech dance scene and a year later I was caught up in the dance hype, spinning vinyl in bars and clubs in Cyprus and the Czech Republic. |
| What do you love most about DJing? | I love all that comes with it!! But watching people enjoying themselves to your music is definately the most satisfying. |
What is your most memorable DJing
experience? | When I warmed up for Nick Warren and Jan Carbon in Club Memphis (Cyprus) in Aug '02. The club was packed with a very enthusiastic 1,300-strong crowd by the time Jan came to take over the decks. Wow it was a brilliant experience!! |
| What are you future goals as a DJ? | I'm doing something I love, so I'll just continue doing it for as long as I can. If something good comes out of it then it's definately welcome :-) |
What do you do when you are not
DJing? | Watch movie at home or at the theatre, or hang out with friends preferably on the beach. |
